Throw metrics from an AirPod in your disc

Put an AirPod in the centre of your flying disc and Kinapod Disc measures the spin, revolutions, release speed, and airborne time of every throw — with spoken stats through your AirPods as you throw.

No dedicated sensor to buy — just the AirPods you already own. Works with any AirPods from 2019 onward — no Pro required. Spin rate is measured directly from the AirPod's gyroscope.

Spin & revolutions

Spin rate comes straight from the AirPod's gyroscope, no guesswork. See rev/s and total revolutions for every throw — the metric only an in-disc sensor can measure.

Gear you already own

No dedicated disc sensor. One AirPod in the centre of the disc is the sensor; your iPhone records and reviews the session.

Voice feedback

Kinapod Disc reads your stats aloud as you throw — including new session and all-time bests — so you can practice hands-free and eyes-free.

Introduction

Kinapod Disc turns AirPods you already own into a flying-disc throw tracker. Fit one AirPod into a small hole at the exact centre of your disc, open the app, and throw. Each throw is detected automatically and measured for spin rate, revolutions, release speed and airborne time — then saved into a practice session with per-throw charts you can review and share. Optional spoken feedback calls out your numbers as you go, and you can export sessions to Strava.

How to Use

What it measures

Kinapod Disc is a practice and training aid; metrics are estimates from motion sensors and are not a certified measurement instrument.
