For researchers & developers
The raw sensor streams, recorded and exported
Lab turns Kinapod into a recorder: everything the AirPod and iPhone sensors see, captured in one session and exported as a single self-described ZIP built for analysis in Claude or any tool.
Works with AirPods Pro (2019 or newer) and standard AirPods (3rd generation or newer).

What it records
- AirPod motion, the full 50 Hz gyroscope and accelerometer stream, with live g and rpm readouts and a 3D orientation view.
- Phone motion, a 100 Hz IMU capture, so a recording carries the pod's view and the phone's view of the same movement.
- GPS and compass, position plus phone heading in degrees.
- Bluetooth signal strength, the advert log between pod and phone, which keeps flowing even when the motion stream drops.
- Audio, an optional phone-mic recording, and a test tone played from the AirPods at a configurable frequency for Doppler experiments, with every on and off logged.
- Event marks, a "remember this state" button that timestamps moments in the stream.
One export, made for analysis
A session exports as a single ZIP led by an AGENTS.md that describes every file inside: the events log and one CSV per stream, pod motion, phone motion, GPS, and signal strength. Drop the ZIP into Claude and ask questions, or load the CSVs into whatever you use.
